This is very close to our house, and price is always good. We always come here and garlic knots ($2.99 for 6) and 2 slices of pizza. Garlic knots are so garlicky and we love it. They are good even after a couple of days.
They offer a good variety of specialty pizzas by the slice (offering a cost-effective way to sample). We enjoy the spicy grilled chicken, chicken Parmesan, and meat lover! They do a good job with the pizza; the crust is perfect thickness; sauce is flavorful; and they are very generous with the toppings.

So, I would have given a 4 star review but delivery took an hour and a half. When I called after an hour had passed I was told my order was sent out with a bunch of other orders. I can only wonder if they held food back to batch deliver. Unfortunately that means the food wasn't very warm.
The garlic knots were delicious. The pizza was good too. We had a meatball one and my only complaint would be a lack of cheese. For an $18 pizza the thing should be been loaded up.
I think I'll still give it another try- maybe dine in since we do not live far.

Pizza was lukewarm at best upon arrival (which took about an hour from the time of order) and tasted like chewy cardboard.
The salad I ordered had onions and olives on it (which I had specifically checked to be left off on the online order) and the lettuce was wilted and brown. I took some pictures and threw it in the trash - what a waste.
The pizza was supposed to come with "mozzarella sticks," however, these were no more than straps of bread with some plastic looking cheese haphazardly blobbed on, nothing like the description.
Would give it 1 star, but the manager was nice when I called and, while he couldn't refund the salad since it was an online order, pointed me in the right direction to Eat24 (the online ordering system) who refunded the salad within a few minutes.

Stopped by last week to pick up three slices to go. The counter guy indicated that three were available, but the centers were soggy (this has been a recurring problem there). He asked if we wanted to wait for a fresh pie. We said yes, although we were told it would take 20 minutes.
Not five minutes later, we were presented with three boxed, ready to go slices. The problem was they were the original three soggy ones which they had put in the oven, burnt to a crisp, and had the nerve to try to pass them off on us.
This brain storm came from the snotty blond behind the counter who must have thought we were really stupid.
Will not go back.

I ordered an eggplant parm sub to go for my first visit. REALLY disappointed. I was expecting the usual thick slices "lightly breaded" eggplant according to the menu. Got home and found I had tiny, thin squares of eggplant that was practically all bread crumb. Not because it was thickly breaded but because the eggplant was so thin, it was practically see through. Waste of money. I don't think I'll be bringing my family or coming back at all.

Been to other locations and are really good. Had to return slices twice. And this pathetic slice is what I finally settled for.

I ordered delivery last night from Christian's pizza in the Village Shopping Center. My only previous experiences with Christian's pizza is the one by the VCU campus, usually in the late evenings/extremely early morning hours (if you catch my drift). Anyways, delivery was fairly quick - 45 minutes from when I ordered. I had the meatball parmesan pizza, eggplant parm sub, and an order of fries. My order was still fresh out of the oven hot which was extremely nice. My eggplant parm sub was lacking a little in the amount of eggplant, my fries tasted a little bland - there was no seasoning on it whatsoever, but the pizza was near perfection. The only downside is that Christian's pizza only makes pizza in one size - EXTRA LARGE so be prepared to eat!

They take special requests seriously. I requested my delivery guy come in a tutu and golly he found a way to come in a tutu. Took less than 30 minutes for Christians to deliver order and accurately arrive fulfilling my special request. Will definitely order again. Pizza was just as amazing as the customer service.

Absolutely delicious pizza and salads.

Possibly the worst sub ever in contrast to the pizza at the VCU location. It may as well have been a cold cheese sandwich. The staff is friendly.

This place has nothing on it's Harrison St location. I'm surprised they are even the same company with how slow the service is and the general lack of knowledge and care from the staff.
We came here for dinner and in a shopping center that's packed with other places to eat, they were the least busy. There were people standing around waiting for pickup orders of course, but we were able to order quickly and grab a seat to wait.
I'm going to echo someone else's review and say that the staff is basically two semi-competent adults with a bundle of clueless teenagers running the joint. I ordered a Bold Rock cider and the kid ringing us up seriously asked if it was something on their menu when the beers are sitting six inches from the register. It also took over 40 minutes to get our order and we were dining in. It wasn't rocket science by any means, just 3 sandwiches and a kid's cheese pizza, but we had to get up and check on our order twice just to make sure they didn't forget us. There were also other people with pick up orders having problems, ranging from extremely long waits to one girl getting the completely wrong pizza.
It's a hot mess at this pizza spot, so much so that the head supervisor had to come out of the kitchen to tell his workers to get it together in front of everyone in the place.

I've been to this location twice and it has been a disaster each time. The guy who works the oven in the front couldn't be slower. They had no slices of cheese or anything with a normal tomato base, and there was no urgency to get this out to people who were streaming in asking for cheese or pepperoni. They said it would be five more minutes for the cheese, which is fine, but then when it was brought out to be cut up out front someone took it into the back and it never made it out front. 20 minutes later, they brought a cheese out.
My first experience was hardly any better. Both times there were angry families waiting forever for their food or people waiting for their takeout orders.
The pizza is still pretty good. They just need to be more efficient.

2nd time getting Christian's. 1st time was delivery and it was okay. We were in the area and hungry so we decided to eat in. Not busy, only one other four top besides us. There were a few of us and we were hungry so we got a lot of food.
Garlic knots - Really good. Lots of garlic and oil. Marina sauce on side is sweeter than a lot.
BBQ wings - I know, wings at a pizza place, but I'm a sucker for them. They were okay. Smothered with sauce. Served with with bleu cheese and ranch. Ranch was super weird, way too much dill in it.
Steak and cheese sub - Not good. It was like mystery meat. There were so many, pretty much raw, red onions on it. Sub roll was burnt.
Chicken parm calzone - Okay, nothing special. Couldn't really tell it was chicken.
Pepperoni pizza - Pretty okay. Great value. It was on special, $10 for a huge one topping. Dough was not cooked all the way through and crust was rather bland.
Service - was good until I wanted a box. I stood up front for 5 or 10 minutes while a cook walked by over and over until the front of house guy came up and helped me.
Overall - Pretty underwhelming. Good value but there are much better pizza places in the relative area. A friend told me it is inconsistent but I don't know if I'll go back again.

I can't give 0 stars but would if allowed
Possibly the worst pizza i have ever had
I ordered a specialty pizza -- a margarita pizza
Was told it would take 25 minutes -- arrived after 20 minutes waited nearly 30 more.
I do not believe the pizza was even cooked with the ingredients I believe they cooked a crust and simply threw the remaining ingredients on. It wasn't even hot as i examined it in the parking lot
Really simply the worst ever

Definitely a solid pizza.
The dough was a bit soggy but the flavor was super good. The price was on point and the delivery was exact! Please note, I did order it on EAT24 which does give you an appx. time of delivery.
I would definitely order from here again!

My first visit today to Christians pizza. Took a buddy of mine there for lunch today and ordered two subs. They came out late and when they arrived they were burnt Black in parts. They had recommended the Italian grinder but if that's the best sub they have that's not a good sign. Not sure if I'm going back. Did not try the pizza
By Daniel M. at 2016-09-16
When they don't burn your pizza it's great. That said, we've ordered from here around 5x and I'm pretty sure the pizza was burnt 4 out of the 5x. Maybe they need to clean the ovens, I don't know it's weird how often the pizza is burnt.

Christian's used to be our go-to pizza place. The quality and service is not consistent these days. Past couple of times the pizzas have been very skimpy on the cheese. Long wait for dine-in and carry-out, too. Doubt we'll return.
By Nizia S. at 2016-10-19
We were driving around looking for a good sub place to eat at and came across Christian's pizza. Went in and couldn't bare to eat inside as the smell of burn was unbearable but decided to go against the odds because of some of the review. we ordered the steak and cheese sub with chips and soda and they were the worse subs I have ever eaten. Very blend taste, dry, meat tasted like an old, frozen party from Walmart plus the chips were stale. Never going back.

Pizza by the slice. Big slice. Nice open dining area with tall tables in front. I like their crust, It is a soft crunchy salty treat.
You come in, and the counter has sneeze guards on it, and behind that there are about a dozen finished pizzas under heat lamps. You choose your slices and they pop them back in the pizza oven for a real reheat. Awesome pizza.
There are salads and drinks in a cooler when you walk in, or you can get sweet tea or a fountain drink.
Mondays they do a tea dollar one topping eighteen inch pizza. Nice deal.
For me, its this place or Belmont Pizzeria for good pizza in Richmond. :)
